A handsome, well knit wine. A beautiful bouquet, with a delicious vanilla aftertaste.
67% Cabernet sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 30% Merlot. The average age of the vines is 40 years.
2006 is a good Bordeaux vintage. After great vintages it is too easy for good quality to be overlooked. The summer was very dry but there was much rain during harvest, meaning the grapes ripened unevenly and the harvest became unbalanced.
Drinking now, will keep few more years.
