Côtes du Rhone Rosé

This pale-hued wine with cherry red highlights has an exceptionally elegant bouquet and intensity on the palate - just biting into fresh strawberries.
The wine is a expert blend of three different red grape varieties, Grenache 40%, Syrah 40% Mourvèdre 20%.
The wine has its enticing pink color due to a wine making process called "saigner," meaning "to bleed" in French. During this saigner process, a touch of color is leeched from the skins of red grapes (all grape juice is more or less clear without skin contact) prior to fermentation, leaving the finished wine a dark samon hue.
The wine has a good but balanced acidity which makes it a great accompaniment with food - perhaps a picnic!
