Light straw in colour, the 2005 La Cruz Vineyard Chardonnay shows aromas of smoky hazelnut and citrus fruits intermixed with light tone of oak and spice. Ripe pineapple, pear and peach flavours dominate the palate while hints of caramel linger to the finish. The bracing acidity and mineral character keep this wine fresh and lively far beyond the first sip.
