Only a small amount of this wine is produced, but it is nevertheless a thoroughly sound achievement. A rich and powerful wine, with handsome colouring. The bouquet explodes with great intensity and complexity. Aromas of candied fruit, apricot, orange, quince, sweet flowers, honey and dried fruit in perfect harmony on a lightly wooded background.
The aromatic richness is found in the mouth, decorated with a nice balance of finesse and elegance. After a round attack, the wine comes with size and concentration, beautiful dominant candied fruit that lasts until the final. The latter is long and shows a complete selection of grapes attacked by the noble rot.
The Cuvée Exceptional Simon is a real find for lovers of great Sauternes style. Like the vintage tradition, here is the bottle to cellar for future happiness on the occasion of a great dinner.
