The cherry-scented Chablis Premier Cru 'Vaillons' is lovely with its typical local character and aromatic finesse – very complex and slightly spicy.
'Vaillons' is the small Premier Cru 'lieu-dit' (place name) vineyard producing low yields of Chardonnay.
The pedigree of Vaillons shows in the classic mineral character with just a hint of oak, typical of the domaine. Enjoy with fish and/or shellfish.
Many associate oaky flavours with Chardonnay wines, especially from the New World. Little oak is used in making this wine, keeping it fresh and unspoilt.
