'Montmains' is the small Premier Cru 'lieu-dit' (place name) vineyard producing low yields of Chardonnay.
It is a fine example of a Premier Cru with flavours of honey and apple - rich and oily on the palate. An austere wine, considered 'true' Chablis: crisp and intricate, traditional and rewarding.
Many associate oaky flavours with Chardonnay wines, especially from the New World. Little oak is used in making this wine, keeping it fresh and unspoilt.
