Mas de Daumas Gassac

Famously described as the First Growth of the Languedoc , Mas De Daumas Gassac is the brainchild of Aimé Guibert, Oenologist Emile Peynaud, and geologist Henri Enjalbert. Aimé first planted vines in 1974 and produced his first wines in 1978.

The identification of Burgundian terroir and an extraordinary micro-climate, dominated by gentle garrigue slopes and cool underground springs, led to the challenge to reproduce the quality of the best Médoc Châteaux.

The estate is located in a hidden valley 30 kilometres north-west of Montpellier in the heart of the Herault.

Further to his Viticultural and Oenological studies, Henry Earle participated in the 2006 harvest - a truely unforgetable experience!
