Domaine Belle
Domaine Belle is situated in Crozes-Hermitage in the Rhône valley. The estate stretches over 19 hectares, spread over four communes and two appelations. The favourable microclimate ensures perfect grape maturity.
On the Domaine, of the two appelations Crozes-Hermitage and Hermitage, only one grape variety is permited - Syrah. The grape, also known as Shiraz is a dark-skinned grape now grown throughout the world but has a long documented history in the Rhône region.
The white wines are prodcued with two grape varieties. Marsanne gives the wine finesse, fattiness, structure and length. Roussane helps give the the wine freshness, finesse and unique aromas.
The systematic drive for low yields (about 30 hectolitres per hectare) and organic certification is conducted by rigorous prunning and the application of manaure.
The wines are harmonious with their "terroir" and are vinified in a traditional and meticulous fashion. In turn this makes for well structure, rich and smooth wines.
