Grouse is a known for it’s very strong and gamey-flavours. This game bird can therefore cope with wines which are full of character and flavour. However, similar to all other poultry, you must be aware of wines with high tannin as these can overpower the meat. Red wines from the Northern Rhône, or Burgundians bursting with flavour would be ideal to serve with Grouse.
