Unlocking the secrets of elegance behind these iron gates 🗝️ Enter into a world where history meets opulence. Once belonging to kings of England, the seigneury of this chateau was one of the most important in the region. Today, we cherish this vineyard for crafting beautiful wines that we have the pleasure of exclusively importing to share with our customers across the UK & beyond. Chateau Condat is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru that is concentrated with red fruits, ripe cherries & warm black plums. On the palate it is soft but well-structured with silky yet very finely woven tannins. 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc. Ageing 10-15 years. 2019 – James Suckling 94 points 2020 – James Suckling 92 points #chateaucondat #bordeauxwines #saintemilion #grandcru #greatwine #jamessuckling #merlot #cabernetsauvignon #winewednesday #wine

With the 2024 harvest prepares to get underway, our producers are still full of optimism despite the challenging conditions this vintage has faced 🍇 Vignerons are focusing on quality over quantity, working hard to create exceptional wines despite the setbacks. France is expecting to see reduced volumes, owing to factors such as mildew, poor fruit set, & the unpredictable weather. Despite some regions like Champagne and Bordeaux reporting stable crops, others such as Burgundy have been hit hard by unfavorable growing conditions. 🌧️ Nevertheless, France has faced adverse conditions before and adapted as needed. We’ve no doubt all of France’s legendary wine regions will overcome these challenges and we can hope for an exciting vintage ahead! 💪🏼 #wineharvest2024 #frenchwine #winemaking #yearinthevineyard #winelover #sustainableviticulture #vintage2024 #wine #wineclub #photooftheday #grapes #vignerons #wineworld #finewines #vintage

With some time to spare whilst in the city of Bordeaux, we decided to pop into the Cité du Vin. The wine museum was opened in 2016 and is considered one of the city’s major landmarks. If you want to learn more about wine and the history of wine this is the place for you. However, some professionals may find the experience quite basic or ‘entry level’. Nevertheless, the permanent exhibition offers a lot of interactive information and the modern unorthodox architecture is worth seeing. #citeduvinbordeaux #citeduvin #bordeaux #wine #instawine #tourism #winelover #cityphotography #architecture #winelife #instagram #france #siteseeing

The 2023 Bordeaux En Primeur campaign has been in full swing the last couple of weeks and there have been some welcome changes. Key highlights include significant price reductions, with some estates cutting prices by up to 47% compared to 2022, which has reinvigorated interest among consumers. This year’s vintage stands out with its fresh, well-balanced wines that have lower alcohol levels than recent vintages, featuring descriptors such as “fluidity,” “lithe,” “mineral drive,” and “supple.” Unlike the typical hot and dry Bordeaux summers, 2023 experienced a more varied climate with regular rain and brief heat spikes that helped achieve phenolic ripeness without the prolonged heat stress. The 2023 really does have the makings of a strong vintage. Critics have noted a divergence in opinions on individual wines, highlighting the vintage’s nuanced quality. The wines generally do not require extensive aging, making them suitable for earlier consumption. This vintage is seen as appealing for those looking for classic Bordeaux flavours without the necessity of long-term cellaring. Overall, the 2023 Bordeaux En Primeur offers a mix of accessibility and quality, presenting a good opportunity for both enthusiasts and new buyers to enjoy well-crafted wines sooner rather than later. Our 2023 En Primeur exclusive selection is now available so please contact us to find out more. Our team are always here to assist you and make recommendations based on quality and value. #2023 #2023enprimeur #wine #enprimeur #wineindustry #wine #wineinvestment #winecollections #bordeaux #bordeauxwines #bordeauxenprimeur #exclusive #investment #lovewine #instawine #instagram

The Girardin legacy in Burgundy spans centuries, dating back to 1570. It’s a testament to 13 generations of deep-rooted connection to winemaking. Justin Girardin, nephew of the renowned winemaker Vincent Girardin, represents a new wave of talent in Santenay, showcasing remarkable value & intelligence in his wines. Inheriting 17-hectare of vines from his parents, Jacques & Valerie, Justin has revitalised the estate, ushering in a new era of freshness & vibrancy. Through meticulous work in the vineyards & cellar, he has elevated the domaine’s wines from rustic to captivating, injecting the essence of top terroirs across the Côte de Beaune. Justin has expanded the business by acquiring several plots of land in Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard & Savigny-les-Beaune, whilst continuing to nurture their vines in Santenay & Maranges 🍇 Justin’s dedication to expressing the individuality from these terroirs shines through each & every one of his wines. Cultivating only Chardonnay & Pinot Noir, Justin organically produces wines that embody the essence of some of Burgundy’s finest appellations. As the domaine gains momentum, Justin Girardin emerges as a rising star in the wine world, he is certainly a name poised for greatness. We’ve recently had the privilege of sampling Justin’s craftsmanship first hand. The 2022 vintages across the board were expressive with welcomed structure. Looks like another successful vintage by this boy wonder! 🍷 #wine #vin #burgundy #appellations #santenay #premiercru #producers #winebusiness #frenchwine #business #tasting #winetasting

Next week, we’ll be exploring the wonders of Burgundy at the #grandjoursdebourgogne. First though, we will take the opportunity to fine-tune our palates and visit Beaujolais to catch up with amazing producers such as @jeanmarc_lafont from Domaine de Bel-Air. Jean-Marc & his wife Annick are extraordinary wine markers with an inspiring selection of wines from seven of Beaujolais’ favourites appellations. Domaine de Bel-Air is perched at the top of Bel-Air Hill whose terroir is made up of blue granite contributing to superbly fruity & generous Gamay wines. Owing to the steep vineyard slopes, almost all vineyard work is done by hand. We’ve had the privilege of working with Jean-Marc, Annick & the Bel-Air team for many years & we’re looking forward to diving into the Bel-Air cellars & once again being acquainted with old friends 🍷 #beaujolais #winewednesday #burgundy #wine #winetasting #fleurie #brouilly #morgon

🍾 ‘Lively, ethereal, mouth-watering & perfectly balanced - just an invitation to take another sip!’ 🥂 Since 1750, the history of the Gimonnet family has been intertwined with Champagne vineyards. After putting down their roots in this famous region they continue to expand the estate across the Côte des Blancs - some of Champagne’s finest terroir. The chalky subsoil allows the noble Chardonnay vine to reign supreme and results in precise wines, with great elegance. The expertise of @champagnegimonnet has lead to this house becoming one of the most important and recognised producers of ‘Blanc de Blancs’ Champagnes. Earle Wines has worked closely with Pierre Gimonnet for nearly three decades, with our own unique and exclusive cuvée carefully selected from a blend of the last five vintages. #champagne #pierregimonnet #cuis #1ercru #premiercru #blancdeblancs #france #chardonnay #champagnelife #wine #vin #luxury #instawine #champagnegimonnet
